Jennifer! Chip!
I had no better friend throughout my childhood than your father.
From 2nd grade to 12th grade, we were together.
So close that we had confirmation to room together at RPI.
Until one of us went to a different school.
Your father helped me develop into the man I am - we learned to grow up together.
I felt like we forever pushed each other to do the best we could - to reach deep.
You cannot replace that.
I will miss him greatly.

Walt reached out to family and friends, even in the midst of his busy growing seasons.
Here he is in July of 2013, helping celebrate the 40th anniversary of one of his close friends.
He managed to fly out to Oregon with his daughter Jennifer for a few days.

Walt was not only a very successful farmer/businessman, he was also a loving family man.
Here he is with his wife Linda, their children Jennifer and Chip, and their goddaughter Naomi in 1981.

Jennifer, my heart breaks for you. Your father was such a kind, sweet man who was always friendly to everyone in my family, including me when I was an annoying teenager building a Homecoming float in his barn or pestering him to let you call it quits early so we could celebrate your birthday. I have fond memories of chats with him and miss his smile. He was so lucky to have you as his daughter, and there’s no doubt how incredibly proud he was of you. Thank you for sharing him with me and my family over the years; we’ll always treasure those memories. Xoxo

Dear Jennifer and Chip,
We are so sad to hear that Sonny has passed. You must know how proud his parents were of him, his great intellect and strong work ethic. Your awesome mother and he made a good team and now they can hang out again---without all the work of a large farming enterprise. He was so proud of you two also.
We are sorry to be unable to attend his services as we are away. Please know that we have many fond memories of your parents and you both.
Love, Denise and Chris Pratico
