Pauline J. Bohus ATCO Pauline J. Bohus, 86, of Atco passed away July 17, 2018. Pauline was born in Trenton and graduated from Trenton High School. She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Rider University. Predeceased by entire immediate family, including parents Peter and Mary Bohus, sister Evelyn Tomo and brothers William and Emil. She is survived by her spouse of 60 years, Harvey Yavener, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, to whom she was known as "Aunt Polly". After she graduated from Rider, she served as Administrative Secretary of the fledgling Babe Ruth League organization for youth baseball during its peak growth years and helped direct its early world series. The majority of her career was then devoted to the Trenton Police Department as Chief Administrator, from where she later retired. In her younger years, she was an active member of St. John's Slovak Lutheran Church, singing in the choir. Pauline went on to proudly serve as the national president of Zeta Mu Epsilon sorority, was a longtime member of the Trenton Club and for many years an officer and secretary of the Trenton Police Federal Credit Union. She lived a rich and full life as part of the duo well known in Trenton as "Polly and Harvey". She also was noted as the favorite dining companion in The Times "Bill of Fare" restaurant reviews. Pauline joined Harvey in covering hundreds of sporting events over five decades, primarily that of Rider, Princeton, Rutgers, and TCNJ, as well as spring training reporting from Florida, the Olympics, and a wide range of other press boxes where her knowledge and charm were always appreciated! After living her first 48 years in South Trenton, she resided for 36 years at the Lafayette House in West Trenton then retired to South Jersey, first in Glassboro then The Fountains in Atco. Polly was a music devotee especially to jazz and cabaret. She was a loving and most generous "Aunt" to many and will be dearly missed.
