MARIA "GLORINHA" DE LIMA, 85, of São Paulo, Brasil, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home in Trenton, NJ, after a long battle with cancer on Monday January 13th 2025.
Gloria met the love of her life Edison de Lima and were married at Igreja Paróquia Nossa Senhora da Esperança, Cidade Dutra, São Paulo, Brasil on Christmas eve 12/24/1959 and in 1966 moved to Trenton, NJ USA and raised 2 sons Edison Jr & Edward and became a lifelong area resident of Mercer County.
Her family was most important to her and she was a generous & devoted individual that dedicated her time with her husband, 2 sons, and grandchildren (Jordan, Justin, Jada & James & her great grandchild James). She was a stellar wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
In her early years in New Jersey she was employed by the Switlik Parachute Company; Bristol, Myers Squibb, & Thomas R. Grover Middle School for the State of New Jersey until she retired.
She enjoyed get togethers with family and friends at New Jersey Beaches and on occasion loved playing the slots at PARX casino & enjoyed bus trips to the casinos in Atlantic City.
Gloria had a tenacity for arts & crafts, sewing & knitting and a love of cooking and baking that were second to none.

Glorinha was a dedicated catholic and there will be a celebration of her life that will be posted at a later date and time for all to attend
