Steven M. Boseke, Sr., 74, of Columbus, NJ, passed away on October 20, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Steven was born May 14, 1950, in Peoria, IL, the son of the late Calvin John Boseke and Mildred Mae Boseke (Richmond).
Steven joined the United States Army in 1967 and served until honorably discharged in 1988. He is a proud Vietnam Veteran, having served two tours. He went on to work at Mercer County Correction Center, retiring as a Lieutenant in 2014.
Steven married Doris M. Figueroa on November 27, 1982, at Fort Dix Chapel. They have been happily married for almost 42 years, built a beautiful life together, enjoyed vacationing and road trips having covered twenty-eight states, crafting, and most of all, spending time with their children and grandchildren. Steven especially loved woodworking, fishing, and anything outdoors with his family.
Steven was a man of integrity, honor, and tradition. He was a patriot and loved his country. He was a hero to his family and loved by anyone who knew him.
Remaining to cherish Steven's memory are his loving wife, Doris Mercedes; his daughters Lauren Nicole Caron (Jean Paul Caron II), Rachel Angeline Scott (Michael John Scott), his grandchildren, Jean Paul Caron III, Lola Nicole Caron, Cali Jai Caron, and Declan Jameson Scott.
From Steven's previous marriage, his daughters Karen Eileen Kingsley (Charles Kingsley), Stephanie Michelle O'Dell (David O'Dell) and grandchild, Katelyn Marie Boseke, and great-grandson Kohen River Scheaffer.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 4PM-7PM at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home, 2946 S. Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024, beginning at 9AM at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home, followed by Funeral Mass at 10:30AM at Holy Cross Church, 215 Adeline Street, Trenton, NJ 08611. Interment will be at BG William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
