It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert J. Gliem Jr., 69, of Trenton, NJ. Affectionately known as "Bob" (Daddy Warbucks), he passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 2, 2024, at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Robert was preceded in death by the love of his life, Susan Fink; his parents, Robert and Joan Gliem; and his siblings, Joan, Karl, Scott, and Drew. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Martin and Reenie Gliem, as well as his cherished children: Andrea, Sandra, Robert III, Crystal, Justin, Joshua, Shawn, and Jessika.

Bob was a proud grandfather to his grandchildren: Victoria, Destiny, Marcus, Jermaine II, Jayda, Breanna, Ashley, Isabella, Jalil, Kevin, Joshua, Mateo, and Zoe. He also leaves behind many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will fondly remember him.

One of Bob's greatest joys in life was his work with Last Chance Recovery. He found immense fulfillment in helping countless men and women walk the long road to sobriety. Even after his time at LCR, Bob remained actively involved in the recovery community, continuing to serve and support others until his passing.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home, located at 2946 S. Broad St., Hamilton, NJ 08610. The service will take place from 5 to 7 p.m., with words of remembrance at 7 p.m.
