Denise T. Millington, of Trenton, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 7th 2016 at the age of 61. Denise retired from Mercer County where she worked as an accountant. She also served as Vice-President and President for the Trenton Board of Education, and she worked tirelessly as an advocate for children with special needs. It was her lifelong passion to ensure educational equality for all children. Denise was also a lifelong member of Liberty Rescue Squad, a member of Signal 22 Association, and an EMT instructor. Wife of the late Louis Millington Sr., she is survived by her children Louis John (Heather), Warren (Rene), Kimberly and Christine, her grandson Aaron Krier, two sisters Dolores Segelken and Maureen Duffy. She will be greatly missed. A memorial service will take place on Friday, June 10th from 6-8pm at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home 2946 South Broad St., Hamilton. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Signal 22 1005 South Clinton Ave. Trenton, NJ 08611.
