Theodore "Teddy" Coate of Hamilton, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by the thoughts and prayers of loved ones. Born in Trenton, NJ on January 26th, 1954, he was a lifelong Hamilton resident and 1972 graduate of Hamilton High West. He is survived by his daughters Melanie and husband Kyle Poppenwimer; granddaughter Eva Poppenwimer and Cassandra and husband Thomas Wolverton.
Teddy was loved by all and brought a smile to everyone he crossed paths with. For close to 40 years, he was the head chef at Rossi's Bar and Grill, where he was responsible for serving up the infamous "Rossiburger."
He was an avid baseball fan who loved to watch the Yankees play. Outside of baseball, he enjoyed time at the beach and anything to do with history, but his greatest love was his daughters. Teddy was a proud father, who never stopped talking about his girls and their accomplishments.
Private funeral services were held under the direction of Knott's Colonial Funeral Home.
