Robert G. Rostron Jr. 76 of Hamilton passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 31, 2024. Bob was a graduate of Steinert High School class of 1965 and a graduate of Rider College class of 1970. After 52 years, Bob was still providing devoted and caring service to Burlington Comprehensive Counseling and the New Brunswick Counseling Center. He was an Air Force Veteran having served during the Vietnam War. Bob's passion was soccer. He played at Steinert and Rider and then spent time as the assistant coach at Rider. He also played for the Trenton Extension Tavern Soccer Team. He spent many years involved in youth soccer in Hamilton Township and was an administrator of NJ Youth Soccer. He was inducted into the Steinert Hall of Fame, the Mercer County Hall of Fame and the NJ Youth Soccer Hall of Fame. Most recently, he enjoyed cheering on his granddaughters from the sidelines. Bob loved his family. Son of the late Robert G. Rostron Sr. and Betty Rostron. Surviving are his wife of 50 years Mary A. (Hummel) Rostron. Daughter and son in law Amy M. Cuccia and Christopher. Son and daughter in law Brian Robert Rostron and Jenny. Grandchildren Emma and Madelyn Cuccia and Edie Rostron. 3 sisters and brothers in law Linda and Anthony D'Errico, Judy and Donald Smith, Susan and Fred Carella. Many nieces and nephews and dear friends. The funeral will begin 10:00am Wednesday with services at 11:00am at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home 2946 South Broad St. Hamilton. Calling hours are Tuesday 4:00 - 7:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in Robert's name would be appreciated to any local youth soccer organization.
