Obituary of Megan Elizabeth McNellis

On August 25, 2023, surrounded by her loving family, Megan Elizabeth McNellis, 38 years of age, passed away peacefully at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center following a brief illness.


Predeceased by her grandfathers Bernard Joseph McNellis, Sr. and Robert Maguire she is survived by her father Bernard Joseph McNellis, Jr., and his wife Kristin McNellis of Williamstown, NJ, her mother Joanne Brink and her husband Kenneth of Hamilton, her paternal grandmother Myrtle McNellis and maternal grandmother Joan Maquire, her fiance' David Koch, and his parents Orsola and Gregory Buddie, her loving brothers Jake, Grant and Drew McNellis, sister and brother-in-law Katie and Brian Smith, her aunt Sharon McNellis-Kissel and uncle Ron Kissel, uncle Michael McNellis and his wife Shauna, cousins Casey Kissel-Diorio and Mackenzie Kissel-Barbieri, very special friends Gena (Mom) and Jim Garzillo, and Steve Baumley as well as many other family and friends.
Most importantly, Megan issurvived by her three children whom she adored and loved with her entire being: her sons William and Landen Tapping and daughter Maddie Koch. Her love for her children showed no bounds. They were her entire world.

 

Raised in Hamilton Township, Megan graduated from Steinert High School where she was a member of the swim team as well as the Marching Band Unit. She went on to pursue a career in cosmetology but the most important job for Megan was motherhood. Megan was a wonderful mom who loved holidays like birthdays, Christmas and Halloween.  They were always over-the-top celebrations for her children.  Megan was a genuinely kind and caring person who was full of life, energy, and love. Her beautiful smile, contagious laughter and her amazing sense of humor will be missed by all.


The world changes from year to year and our lives from day to day, but the love and memory of you sweet Megan will never pass away. Words cannot express how much we miss vou. Rest in Peace Sweetheart!


The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 10:00am at St. Gregroy the Great Catholic Church 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30am to 10:00am at church.  Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery 1200 Cedar Lane Hamilton, NJ.
