My thoughts and prayers to the Gaus family. Ed was very special and he was always there to lend a helping hand. We enjoyed talking about life and ghosts over the years. He took my daughter, husband, and I up into the cupola at Pennington to do a ghost hunting expedition. We didn't find any but it was a fun adventure.
Heaven got a special man, he will be missed by all.

Thinking of my cousin Eddie, the little one in the bunch of us when we spent time together, when we played at our Oma's house on Saturday nights, and when we goofed around on just about every Thanksgiving in the basement of the Gauss residence. Good time were had by all and many memories were made that we carry with us forever.
About the superstar soccer player, "Mundo" was his nic name, a fierce competitor and mentor for my kids and many others at the Pennington School where he coached and enjoyed years of teaching the kids, a beloved coach to all.
Remembering pretending to fight over the chicken dumplings our Oma made every Christmas in the soup and how delicious it all was and how much we enjoyed being together for those holidays. His joy of visiting new places and seeing things he'd never seen before, like when he visiting me the first time in Florida, he was in awe of the palm trees, and the greenery of the land.
And most recently, speaking to him on the phone and him telling me that it was hard and not good and how he just wished it was better. But, he said... it is was it is..
My heart breaks from my Aunt and my Cousin Linda watching him and caring for him all through this time, and I know they realize that he is in heaven with his father and Oma and all the rest of those who left us from our family.
Feeling sadness that he left us so soon, and will miss him dearly. To a life well lived Ed, you were loved by all.

Mrs Gauss, Linda and family, I am so so sorry to hear of Eddie’s passing. It was a pleasure growing up on Wesleyan Dr with such a wonderful family at the start of the street. May he rest pain free forever more.
