Obituary of Barbara Ann Cuomo

Barbara Cuomo 10/10/35-5/1/23 Barbara Cuomo of North Hanover passed away peacefully on May 1, 2023 at RWJ-Hamilton, she was 87 years old. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee but resided with her family for many years in Yardville, NJ before moving to North Hanover. Barbara was predeceased by her parents and several siblings as well as her husband Jules Cuomo. She is survived by her beloved daughters Diane Zimmer and her husband Kevin, Lori Cuomo and her husband Warren Lavigne and Colleen Eskow and her husband Craig. She is also survived by her treasured grandchildren Sydney Zimmer and her husband Daniel Rajeski, Kyle Zimmer, Delaney, Ethan, and Norah Eskow, along with several nieces and nephews. Barbara leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. She loved all people, and everyone could expect to be greeted with a hug upon meeting her. She enjoyed being in the kitchen cooking & baking, and you never left her home hungry. She also enjoyed shopping, traveling, trips to Atlantic City, lottery, puzzles, reading and bingo with her girls at Hamilton Colonial Firehouse. Anyone who knew her knew she loved doing laundry and had all the tricks to getting out those tough stains! Time with her family was her most beloved pastime. She was blessed for the last several years of her life to reside with her daughter Diane and son-in-law Kevin. So many memories were made around the kitchen table with her friends, family, children, and grandchildren that included playing cards, sharing holiday meals, telling stories and many, many laughs. Barbara will be forever missed by those who knew and loved her. Funeral arrangements will be private and overseen by Knott's Colonial Funeral Home. The family will be honoring her with a Celebration of Life gathering on June 7, 2023, immediately following her interment at the BG William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in North Hanover.
