Obituary of Barbara M. Newcomb

Barbara M. Newcomb, 84, of Hamilton, passed away on March 24, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Phillipsburg, NJ, Barbara moved to Hamilton to work at St. Francis Hospital in Trenton after graduating from the St. Francis School of Nursing. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church. She was very active in the local senior citizen groups in both Hamilton and Robbinsville, having helped plan many of their trips, and was also a member of multiple prayer groups. Barbara was an artist who enjoyed painting, crocheting, and flower arranging. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Daughter of the late Joseph and Myrtle (Stevens) Ininger, wife of the late William G. Newcomb, and mother of the late William J. Newcomb, she is survived by her children Barbara Kozicz and her husband Michael of Brookfield, WI, Sharon DeBlasio and her husband Joseph of Robbinsville, NJ, James Newcomb and his wife Christy of Yardville, NJ, and John Newcomb of Philadelphia, PA, 13 grandchildren Colleen Casini, Michael Kozicz, Matthew Kozicz, Joseph DeBlasio, Jr., Catherine Owle, Victoria Orellana Orantes, William Newcomb, Christopher Newcomb, Kyle Newcomb, Alicia Newcomb, William Newcomb, Joshua Newcomb, and Andrew Newcomb, 11 great-grandchildren Theodore, Benjamin, Joseph III, Mikaela, Cole, Lucas, Samuel, Penelope, Miles, Grayson, and Charlotte. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 11:00am at St. Gregory the Great Church 4620 Nottingham Way Hamilton Sq., NJ 08690. A calling hour will be held at the church from 10:00am to 11:00am. Burial of Cremains will be at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery 350 Province Line Rd. Wrightstown, NJ 08562. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 9www.stjude.org).
