Ernst Loeffler, son of the founder of Loeffler Provisions died on December 2, 2021 at the age of 80 of natural causes. After graduating from Temple University, he joined the family business and worked very closely with his father and mother to establish Loeffler Provisions. They were a very close knit, hardworking family with an old fashioned work ethic. Loeffler Provisions has been a favorite in the greater Trenton area for more than 50 years and now continues as Loeffler Gourmet Provisions and continues to sell to local customers from their plant on Whitehead Road. Loeffler's has been a staple for generations to local families. Ernie enjoyed socializing with his friends. He was an avid reader and researcher. He also enjoyed skeet shooting, hunting, and camping with his father. He was an avid fan of soccer and auto racing. He also enjoyed watching "This Old House" and listening to his favorite radio station BBC, because it was an unbiased show. Ernie's life was the quintessential American success story. He always did what he loved which is the true definition of success and happiness in life. Ernie was a humble person with a kind heart. His friends will always remember him fondly. Funeral services were held privately. Arrangements were under the care of Knott's Colonial Funeral Home 2946 South Broad Street Hamilton, NJ 08610.
