Marlene R. Otter, 85, of Hamilton, passed away on February 10, 2022. Born at home on April 21, 1936 in Fieldsboro, NJ to the late Nicholas Palumbo and Mary Fabrizio. She was employed as a school crossing guard at the intersection of Hamilton and Klockner Roads for many years. She was retired from Carter-Wallace in Cranbury where she was VP of Local 8-5570 of the Paper, Allied-Industrial Chemical and Energy Workers Union. Mar, as friends called her, enjoyed riding motorcycles, was a worthy bowler, loved the beach and was an avid Eagles fan.
She was pre-deceased by husbands Mario Brescio and Robert Otter, and her sister Nicholene Palumbo Papp. She is survived by her daughters Dr. Rosemary Horsley of Newtown, PA, Nicholene Clark and her husband Tom of Hamilton, her sons Mario and Michael Brescio of Hamilton, her grandchildren Aleah Wolinsky of Los Angeles, Michael and Matthew Brescio of Hamilton, and several great-grandchildren and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 12:00pm at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home 2946 South Broad Street Hamilton, NJ 08610. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Interment will be held privately for the family.
