Obituary of Elfriede Hepp

Please share a memory of Elfriede to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness that the family of Elfriede "Frieda" Hepp (nee Pilsl) announce her passing on February 4, 2021 at the age of 90. Born in Linz, Austria, she came to the United States in 1956 with her husband and young daughter. Frieda was a seamstress by trade and then went on to become a beautician and worked for S.P Dunhams Beauty Salon for over 30 years, and several other small salons. She was an excellent cook and baker, and loved preparing wonderful meals for her family and friends. Her Austrian specialties were loved by all, and Christmas was a real Christmas cookie feast. She enjoyed socializing, hosting monthly "coffee Klatsch" gatherings with friends and later in her life enjoyed bi-weekly St. Vincent DePaul Senior Citizen meetings, where she always enjoyed Bingo, as well as the monthly dinners at the "Donauschwaben". She was a wonderful wife, mother, and "oma" to her grandchildren (who she loved to babysit) and "omama" to her great-grandchildren, who adored her. She was a member of the Danube Swabian Association of Trenton, since coming to this country in 1956. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Maria and Konrad Pilsl, three brothers, all in Austria, Walter, Karl and Rudolf Pilsl, her beloved cousin who was like a sister to her, Anna Graf, also of Austria. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Alexander Hepp, Jr., her daughter, Elizabeth "Liz" Tindall and her husband Al; granddaughters Christa Pullion (husband Chris); Katherine James (husband Grant) and her two great-grandchildren Gabriella and Michael Pullion. She is also survived by her brother-in law Wilhelm Hepp and his wife Jackie, as well as many other relatives, nieces and nephews both in the United States and Austria. The family would like to thank the hospice nurses and health aides at Compassionate Care, as well as everyone at Care One for taking such good care of her in her final days! Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass 11:00am Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 555 Yardville Allentown Road, Yardville. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Covid restrictions must be followed, wear a mask and socially distance. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Danube Swabian Association of Trenton, NJ, 127 Route 156, Yardville, NJ 08620or to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul at St. Vincent de Paul, 555 Yardville Allentown Road, Yardville NJ 08620 or to the Foundation of Morris Hall/St. Lawrence Inc. 1 Bishop's Drive, Lawrenceville NJ 08648.
