Rodney W. Fish, 81, of Whiting, passed away on January 29, 2021. Born in Lakewood, and originating from Ewing, he has been a resident of Whiting for the past 13 years. After attending Ewing High School, Rodney proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a mine sweeper, and later served on the USS Tattnall, LST. He owned and operated Slackwood Barber Shop in Lawrenceville for 20 years. Rodney was also a local bartender for many years. He also loved horse racing and watching football. Son of the late Gordon W. and Vesta (Applegate) Fish, he is survived by his loving soulmate of nearly 45 years Charlotte Weiman, his daughter Adriene Chrisikos, grandchildren Anthony Chrisikos and Autumn Rose Chrisikos, great-grandson Giovanni, his brother Gordon Fish, his sister Pamela Sherman, and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 10:00am to 11:30am at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home 2946 South Broad Street, Hamilton. Funeral Services will begin at the funeral home at 11:30am. Interment will take place at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA. Facial coverings at the funeral home are mandatory. Social distancing guidelines must also be adhered to. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Deborah Heart & Lung Center (deborahfoundation.org).
