Richard P. Knott, of Cape Coral, FL, passed away on January 11, 2021. Born in Trenton, he retired to Florida in 1994. Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Richard was a dedicated employee of the AAA Trucking Corp. for 39 and a half years. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Naples, FL, a member of the Liberty Lodge F & AM, The Elks Lodge #2010 of Naples, the Moose Lodge #1782 of Naples, The German American Club of Hamilton, NJ and the Donauschwaben Club in Yardville, NJ. Richard was a cherished friend to many, and he will truly be missed by all who knew him. Son of the late Elmer S. and Julia (Laslo) Knott, and brother of the late Elmer "Sandy" Knott, he is survived by his cousins and friends. Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 18, 2021 from 9:00am to 10:30am at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home 2946 South Broad Street, Hamilton 08610. Funeral services will begin at 10:30am at the funeral home. The Very Rev. J. Matthew Tucker will officiate. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.
