George E. Van Pelt, 98, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2020 at the Rose Hill Assisted Living facility in Robbinsville. George was born in Middlesex County to Walter and Bertha Van Pelt. He lived his childhood in New Egypt on a farm. He became a proud World War II Veteran. He lived in Hamilton for 67 years until he moved to Rose Hill Assisted Living. He retired from Yates Industry in Bordentown. He loved working on his home and garden. Pre-deceased by his parents Walter and Bertha (Gabriel) Van Pelt, and nine of his siblings, George is also pre-deceased by his two wives Geraldine Van Pelt, and Ruth Van Pelt. He is survived by his son Glenn Van Pelt, daughter and son in law Linda and Daniel Papol, grandchildren Daniel and Malinda Papol, Melissa and Christian Cowley, Stephanie Van Pelt, and Michael and Kim Van Pelt, four great-grandchildren Ella and Mia DiFranco, and Allie and Bennet Papol, sisters in law Irene Van Pelt, Dorothy Zatko, and son in law and his wife Herb and Janet Marinari. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 9:00am to 10:00am at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home 2946 South Broad Street, Hamilton. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hightstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in George's memory can be made to Saint Bartholomew Church 1746 S.
