Audrey Homan Sperling, 90, passed away Thursday August 27, 2020 at Rosehill Assisted Living. Born in Trenton, NJ she has been a lifelong resident of Hamilton Twp. before moving to Robbinsville Township in 1963. Audrey was formerly employed by the NJ Bell Telephone Company. She retired in 1991 after 26 years of service with the State of NJ, Division of Taxation Inheritance Tax Bureau. She was a tour guide at Kuser Farm Mansion in Hamilton, known by many for her role as the "Talking Christmas Tree". Audrey was involved with many groups throughout her life. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church in Hamilton; Daughters of the American Revolution, General David Forman-Penelope Hart Chapter; the Ex-Regents Club; NJDAR. Audrey was a founding member of the Central Jersey Genealogy Club; a member of the Camp Olden Civil War Roundtable in Hamilton the Contemporary in Trenton; Sons and Daughters of Erin; the Hibernian Foundation in Hamilton; Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, a member at-large in Xi Alpha Gamma Chapter; and the Red Hat Society, The NJ Tomatoes Chapter. She was a graduate of Hamilton High School, Class of 1948 and an active member of the reunion committee. Audrey was daughter of the late Thomas and Harriet Kelley Homan. Wife of the late Frederick R. Sperling. She was also predeceased by her sister Gloria Allen of Robbinsville, her nieces Linda Thompson of Hamilton and Kathleen Fogelman of Naples, Florida. Audrey, affectionately known to her family as Aunty Aud, is survived by her loving family; a niece Sharon A. Riley and her husband Vincent of Hamilton. a nephew Roland T. Allen and his wife Mary of Hamilton. Many loving great nieces, nephews, great great nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Aunty Aud will be greatly missed by her family. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh and for her extraordinarily vibrant personality. Private services were held September 1, 2020. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.
