Obituary of Frederick L. Born

Frederick Leo Born Frederick L. Born, born in Trenton NJ on July 4, 1936, passed away on May 8, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Elizabeth Born, his brother Albert Born, and his son, Jeffrey F. Born, he is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carol Ann (Harker) Born. He will be dearly missed by his children and their families: Patricia Born and children Charles Guarino and Samuel Guarino; Robert and Suzanne Born and daughter Kaitlyn; Annie and Mike Cooper and children Baker Pott and Sadie Pott; and Leanna and TC Nelson and son Cash. He will be fondly remembered by his many in-laws, nieces, nephews, lifelong friends, and the countless people he befriended during his 83 years. Fred was a lifelong Trenton and Hamilton resident. After graduating from Trenton Catholic High School in 1954, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served for two years aboard the USS Wrangell sailing the Mediterranean. Fred followed his father and brother into the plumbing trade, becoming a Master Plumber and co-founding Born Bros. Plumbing and Heating in Trenton. He enjoyed being a member of the Arbeiter and German American clubs, and spent many hours in his woodworking shop. He loved the outdoors, including fishing, boating, gardening, and Sunday drives. We will all remember him for his kindness, hospitality, one-liners, and gentle demeanor. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, funeral services will be private.
