Wilbur R. Nixon, 89, of Hamilton passed away on April 11, 2020. Born in Waynesboro, PA, he has been a longtime Hamilton resident. Wilbur was a retired Staff Sargent with the United States Air Force, and retired after 25 years of service. He was then employed as a Corrections Officer in Yardville, and retired after 24 years of service. His hobbies included duck bowling, and he was an avid car enthusiast (his favorite was a Cadillac). He also enjoyed trips to the local McDonald's for his senior coffee with 2 creams and 1 Splenda. He also enjoyed driving to McGuire AFB, and on a nice day you could always find him working in his yard, or polishing one of his many cars. Son of the late Emory H. and Eva L. (Justice) Nixon, husband of the late Izuha Nixon, and brother of the late Margaret Robinson, Robert Nixon, Eugene Nixon, he is survived by his daughter Susan Lyszcak, his granddaughter Korrin Durkin (Michael), grandsons Michael and Zachary Lyszczak, and Preston Santivansky, his sister Catherine Gearhart, and his brother Richard Nixon. Due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, funeral services and interment in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be held privately for the family.
