Obituary of Matthew Jared Scherbekow

Matthew Jared Scherbekow, 45, of Pennington, passed away on December 5, 2019. Born in Woodbury, NJ, he was a graduate of West Windsor Plainsboro High School Class of 1994, and has been an area resident for the past 20 years. He was formerly a member of the Princeton Jct. Volunteer Fire Co., and the Lawrenceville Volunteer Fire Co. He enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his family. Matthew was employed by Wegmans for the past 20 years. Matthew is pre-deceased by his grandmother Syma Scherbekow, and his father in law Wayne Gale. He is survived by his loving wife Katherine Gale Scherbekow, his beloved children Makayla Rose, Makenzie Marie, and Elliott Mark, his parents Mark and Janet Scherbekow, his mother in law Peggy Gale, a brother Seth Scherbekow, two brothers in law and their spouses Robert and Jennifer Gale, and Michael and Gretchen Gale, a sister in law and her spouse Samantha and Rick Cook, his beloved pets Buddy and Lola, and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Matthew's life will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 8:00pm at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home 2946 South Broad Street, Hamilton. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
