Obituary of Kyung Hee Kim

Kyung Hee Kim, 85 years old, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, November 30th, 2019 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center. Born December 5th, 1934 in Seoul, Korea, then one month later moved to Japan with her parents. She lived through both WW II and the Korean War. Luckily the family made their way back to Korea right before the Hiroshima bombing in 1945. After which she married Byung Doo Kim and decided to move to the USA and landed on American soil on December 31, 1972 at 11:00 PM. They made New Jersey their new home with their five children, the first Korean family in Trenton, NJ. Kyung Hee Kim was known for being a fantastic cook and loving grandmother. She was such a character and made a lasting impression on anyone she met. A "general" with running her home and an active gym goer, even towards her final days. She was a beloved mother to Chong Shim Shin, Chong Hae Pak, Sung Man Kim, Chong Mi Kim, and Sung Min Kim. Cherished by 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; Zaiden, Zander, Brooke, Olivia, and Isabella. Her love lives on. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home 2946 South Broad St., Hamilton. Funeral services will begin at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Ewing Cemetery, Scotch Rd., Ewing.
