Elizabeth (Betty) Calasso 82 of Hamilton passed away peacefully at Morris Hall July 25, 2019.
Born April 14, 1937 in Filipowa, Yugoslavia, she immigrated to the United States when she was 20 years old and has resided in Hamilton most of her life, except a few years at Homestead at Mansfield
with her late partner Erwin Teichmann.
Betty was a longtime waitress at the Old Heidelberg Restaurant. After it's closing she became a food service supervisor at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton.
She was an active member of the German American Society in Yardville.
Betty was predeceased by her parents Simone and Anna (Reger) Thiel. Her ex-husband Vincent Calasso Sr., her brother Joseph Thiel, her sister Rosina Menning and her son Joseph Thiel in Florida.
Betty is survived by her 2 daughters and sons in law, Monica and Donald Johnson of Arizona and Luci and Peter Conte of Mt. Laurel, NJ.
Son Vincent Calasso Jr., of Hamilton
2 granddaughters, Stefanie Starr of Arizona and Lacy Rosati of Cinnaminson, NJ
2 great grandchildren, Penelope and Lucas Rosati.
Funeral services will be private for the family at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home, Hamilton.
