Friday, December 14, 2018Marti had great enthusiasm and was a good teacher. I remember him convincing me that I could learn to rollerblade! He sold me the rollerblades and set me up w lessons! And I skated and didn’t injure myself. He was so passionate he made you believe that you could stretch and try new things and have fun. He had a wonderful smile!

Friday, December 14, 2018Wendy, Dillon, Words can't express the loss I feel with the passing of my Cousin Marty. Marty and I have shared so many good times and challenging times together over the past 58+ years. We knew each other well , so well , we could laugh , smile , cry , argue , debate, and no matter what, we always had respect for each other and came together on common ground. We respected each other. Back 70's and early 80's we enjoyed the disco, and funk night life scene, and often had some great times. Marty always told the story of me picking him up after my Hamilton West baseball game and heading straight for the Philadelphia Civic Center to see Booty's Rubber Band, the Brides of Funkenstein, Fred Wesley and the Horny Horns and a cast of other bands. This was an unforgettable concert and I'm glad he and I shared this experience when were 17 years old. We both enjoyed our music. Over the years, whenever we worked on projects together we both would share our ideas with each other , and many times we initially had opposite approaches or disagreed on an approach, but in the end we talked it out , sketched it out and always came together on a good solution we were both proud off. We did things right. This is why I always say we were like brothers because we knew what each other was thinking. Love Cousin Steve

Thursday, December 13, 2018I am deeply saddened to hear about Marty's passing. He is my dad's cousin, but more so his brother and best friend. He used to stay over at our house all the time. Marty would always love to help out cooking, drinking his beer, listening to music, but most of all helping my dad with projects. When I think of Marty, I think about how he always smiled and laughed. He would come into the house so excited to see me "Hey Pammy!! Whats going on??" Marty has been through so many obstacles in the past few years. The only thing that makes me feel better about this is that he is no longer suffering and no longer in pain. He is in Heaven now with his Mom and Dad. I am in tears typing this all. Marty has a very kind soul and will always be loved and remembered by us all.

Thursday, December 13, 2018I was introduced to Marty when we met each other at Bruno's Bicycle Shop in Allentown, NJ. Marty would stop in regularly and we would spend hours chatting about life, obstacles and challenges, and living with adversity. Marty was always upbeat and a real trooper. I remember one time he wanted to ride after one of his illnesses. I was amazed that he was able to ride his bicycle but he never let anything stop him. I rode slowly with him because of his health issues but he insisted that we ride faster. I hesitated because I did not want to see Marty get hurt, but he kept pushing. But that was Marty ... never one to give up. Marty was one of the nicest people I have ever met. The people at Bruno's Bike Shop (Jim, Gary, Fred and myself) will really miss him.
