Magdalena Temmer 88 of Hamilton passed away peacefully on January 8, 2018. Mrs. Temmer was born in Sidski Banovci, Yugoslavia on December 23, 1929. She came to this country in 1952 from Austria. She was employed at the Horseman Doll Factory, the Henry Clay & Bock Company, the Cigar Factory, Circle F Industries and the Hamilton Township Board of Education where she was employed for 25 years. A member of Saint Mark Lutheran Church. After her retirement she enjoyed playing Bingo at the Hamilton Senior Center, Walking 4-6 miles a day, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. Magdalena was affectionately known as Oma, not only by her grandchildren, but to many who were friends of her children and grandchildren. Wife of the late Anton Temmer to whom she married in 1950. Mother of the late Robert Temmer. Sister of the late Elizabeth Dech, Josefina Geist and Christel Blum and Philipp Harfmann. She is survived by her daughter and son in law Rita and Steve Reenstra; her son and daughter in law Richard and Sharon Temmer. Grandchildren Danielle, Rachel and Matthew Reenstra and Katie Temmer. Her close friends Hilde Karlowitsch, Leni Welker and Maria Hegyi. The family would like to thank the staff of Brookdale of Hamilton where Magdalena resided the past 2 1/2 years and Ascend Hospice for all the love and attention given to her. Funeral services will be 10:00am Friday at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 350 Whitehorse Ave. Rev. Ian Hill will officiate. Interment will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call Thursday 5:00 - 8:00pm at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home, 2946 South Broad St. Hamilton. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's New Jersey, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville NJ 07834
