Walter G. Kosul 77 of Bordentown Township, passed away June 3, 2017. Mr. Kosul was a graduate of Hamilton High School West, Class of 1958. He was a proud United States Army Veteran, earning the rank of Pfc. He was formerly employed as the Tax Assessor for Bordentown Township, Township of Pemberton, East Brunswick Township, and retired as Tax Assessor from Marlboro Township 8 years ago.He was also the former Welfare Director for Bordentown Township, and he was the part time Tax Assessor for Fieldsboro and Willingboro. Former President and Vice President of the Municipal Assessors of Burlington County Inc., and Vice President for the Association of the Municipal Assessors of Middlesex County.A former member of the Hamilton Jaycees, and a proud, current member of the Bordentown Twp Seniors, the Hamilton YMCA and the Bordentown Elks BPOE 2085. He was also a member of the International Association of Assessing Officers for over 40 years and enjoyed attending the Bordentown Township Committee meetings. Walter loved playing Basketball, and was an avid sports fan, especially the NY Yankees. He loved reading and was a History buff, especially WWII. He very much enjoyed hosting family holiday parties, especially Christmas Eve in particular. Son of the late Walter B. Kosul and Irene Holloway. Surviving are his wife of 52 years Theresa Roberson Kosul.Three daughters and sons in law, Renee and Andy Monday of Alexandria, VA., Susan and Paul Farrington of Fairborn, OH., and Deborah and Darin Reed of Bordentown, NJ Four grandchildren Nathan Reed, Joshua Monday, Timothy Monday and Philip Monday. Four great grandchildren, Emily Monday, Jackson Monday, Rhys Monday and Delilah Monday. A brother and sister in law John and Nancy Holloway of Columbia, TN. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, good friends and acquaintances. Relatives and friends may call Thursday (6/8/2017) 2:00 - 4:00pm and again at 6:00 - 8:00pm at the funeral home. The funeral will be Friday (6/9/2017), starting at 9:30am with Services at 10:00am at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home, 2946 South Broad St. Hamilton.
