Obituary of Lewis J. Gryziewicz

Lewis J. Gryziewicz, 88, of Hamilton, passed away on April 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Trenton, he has been a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Trenton High School, and was a proud U.S. Army veteran. He was employed by the City of Trenton for many years, before moving to the Mercer County Highway Department from which he retired. He has been a lifelong civil servant. He was a member of the American Legion Post 458, and the Knights of Columbus Council 6213. Son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Gallagher) Gryziewicz, father of the late Richard J. Gryziewicz, and son-in-law of the late Joseph and Margaret Renelli. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Marianne (Renelli) Gryziewicz of Hamilton, his son Lewis Gryziewicz and his wife Marianne of Laguna Niguel, CA, and his two granddaughters Kiley and Kira Gryziewicz. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 11:00am at St. Anthony's Catholic Church 626 S. Olden Avenue Trenton, NJ 08629. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery 1200 Cedar Lane Hamilton, NJ 08610. Calling hours at the church will be held from 9:00am to 11:00am. Arrangements are under the care of Knott's Colonial Funeral Home 2946 S. Broad Street Hamilton, NJ 08610. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony's Parish 3816 East State St. Ext. Hamilton, NJ 08619.
