Obituary of Dolores E. Dietrich

Dolores E. Dietrich, 87 of Hamilton, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 13, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Born on March 22, 1938, Dolores grew up in the Chambersburg section of Trenton. She graduated from Trenton High in 1958 and went on to work as a secretary at RCA Labs and Astro where she met her beloved husband Albert. They were married for 58 years and lived in Hamilton. She also worked for many years as a Hamilton Township school crossing guard and a secretary for the State of New Jersey. Dolores is predeceased by her husband, Albert F. Dietrich, her beloved daughter Lisa Dietrich and her parents Wilma and Fred Shilling. She is survived by her son and daughter in law Douglas and Susan Dietrich as well as her grandchildren Kathryn and Zachary. Dolores was a devoted wife and mother who put her family first. She enjoyed cooking and was known to make delicious desserts. She was a person known for her strength, strong will and tender heart. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, December 18, 9am-10am, Knott's Colonial Funeral Home, 2946 South Broad Street Trenton NJ. The funeral mass will follow and be celebrated at 10:30am at St. Raphael - Holy Angels Catholic Church 3500 South Broad St Hamilton NJ. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery 1200 Cedar Lane Hamilton. The family wishes to thank the staff at Hamilton Grove and Serenity Hospice at RWJ Hospital for their kindness and care of Dolores.
