Obituary of Mason R. Knott
Please share a memory of Mason to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
With heavy hearts, we share that Mason Riley Knott, 21, of North Hanover, New Jersey, left us far too soon on November 6, 2025. Born on February 13, 2004, Mason radiated joy and light, touching everyone with his generous spirit.
Mason grew up in North Hanover, where he attended North Hanover Township Schools and graduated from Northern Burlington Regional High School. He was known for his compassion, humor, work ethic, and entrepreneurial spirit—always ready to jump in, lend a hand, and share whatever he had to give.
A true adventurer at heart, Mason loved anything with an engine, especially riding dirt bikes. He was a passionate foodie who delighted in cooking for family and friends—his smoked ribs and brisket were legendary. From the time he could walk, Mason was an avid fisherman, and he loved traveling, as long as it didn't involve an airplane!
Mason was a caring son to his parents, Allyson and Fred Knott; a protective big brother to his twin sisters, Abigail and Chelsea; and a devoted boyfriend to Guiliana Varone, whom he loved deeply. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents Rhonda (Steve) Guerino-Chalenor and Richard (Diane) Kocsis; paternal grandmother Gwendolyn Knott; great-grandmother Doris Apa; and many loving aunts and uncles including, Julia (Bill) Hilderhoff, Susan (Tony) Kramar, Mary (Steve) Makrancy, Robin (Kevin) Hall, and Christine Knott, along with many other relatives and friends who will forever cherish his memory. Lastly, his loyal German Shepherd, Conan—always by his side—continues to wait for him to come home. Mason is predeceased by his great-grandparents, Eugene and Roseanne Kocsis, John Apa Jr. and his grandfathers, Frederick Knott Jr. and Eugene P. Guerino.
Though Mason's time with us was far too short, his life overflowed with love, laughter, and purpose. His spirit will live on in the many lives he touched. Rest in peace, Mason—you will always be in our hearts.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, November 16, from 5–8 PM at Church of the Assumption, St. Isidore Parish, 28 Monmouth Rd, Wrightstown, NJ. An additional calling hour will take place Monday, November 17, from 10–11 AM, followed by a funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to your local animal shelter or take a shelter dog for a walk.
