Pearl E. Walker Obituary

Pearl E. Walker, 89 of Mercerville, passed away peacefully surrounded by love and family September 9, 2025, at Serenity Hospice Care in Hamilton. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Pearl was the embodiment of warmth, strength, and compassion. Her unwavering devotion to her family was the cornerstone of her life. She was a loving and supportive wife, a nurturing and protective mother, and a proud, doting grandmother. Her love knew no limits, and she gave it freely, unconditionally, and with a heart full of grace.

Born with a bright spirit and a sharp wit, Pearl brought laughter wherever she went. Her sense of humor was infectious, her laugh unforgettable, and her joy in the small things was a gift to all who knew her.

Pearl began her career at NJ Bell Telephone and later served as a switchboard operator at Mercer Medical Center. After retirement she worked as an aide with C&R Bus Company, but what brought her the most joy was her family.

She found happiness in life's simple pleasures: watching her favorite game shows, spending time with her family and friends, and traveling with her beloved husband, children, and grandchildren. These trips brought her immense joy and created cherished memories.

Pearl's legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family. She leaves behind a family who adored her, and a life filled with meaning, joy, and deep affection.

Pearl was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Raymond Leedom and Esther (Titus) Leedom, her siblings Raymond Leedom Jr. and Lorraine (Leedom) Franz, as well as her devoted husband, Robert F. Walker Sr.

She is survived by her loving children, Debora L. Walker and Robert F. Walker Jr. Pearl was a proud "Nana" to her grandchildren, Melissa Avellino and husband Michael, Melanie Walker, and Matthew Walker and fiancée Rebecca Henderson. She was also blessed with a great-granddaughter, Capri Avellino, who brought her endless joy.

In addition, she is survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends who will remember her with love and fondness.
