Obituary of Bernard Rohr

Bernard Theodore Rohr Beloved husband, father, and grandfather; passed away Tuesday July 8, 2025 at Buckingham Valley Rehabilitation Center, a few weeks prior to his 87th birthday. Predeceased by his wife Diane (nee Kajkowski), his son Stephen, and his parents Harrison and Mildred (Blair) Rohr, Bernard is survived by his children: Bernie (Donna) Rohr, Ed (Lydia) Rohr, and Diane (Robert) Colletti, and his grandchildren: Ashley, Jamie, Catherine, and Edward Rohr, Samantha and Jessica Colletti, and Joseph (Kaitlin) Vinch. Born on his family's farm in Ohio, Benny (as he was called in his youth) joined the Navy as a teen. While stationed in Philadelphia in 1960, he met the love of his life, his wife Diane. After serving in Vietnam, Bernie (as he was then known) was honorably discharged. He moved to Port Richmond where he spent many years working as a truck driver for APA Transport, after a brief stint as an ice cream man. Upon retirement, he enjoyed watching the Eagles, riding his motorcycle, listening to country music and rock and roll, and, most of all, spending time with the grandchildren he adored. Private cremation performed by Knott's Funeral Home. Private celebration of life by invitation.
