It is with deep sorrow that we announce that Harry Francis of Hamilton, passed away peacefully at home on April 15, 2025 at the age of 93. He was born on September 10, 1931 to Joseph and Emma (Schindewolf) Francis. He grew up in Trenton and was a resident of Hamilton for the past 70 years.
Harry was a man defined by kindness, compassion, generosity, and an unwavering love for his family. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he served honorably during the Korean War and carried that same sense of duty, integrity, and humility with him throughout his life. Following his military service, Harry dedicated many years to Stauffer Chemical Company and the Hamilton Township School District, retiring as a beloved custodian from Kuser Elementary School.
Harry was predeceased by his beloved wife of 49 years, Joan Francis, and his cherished son, Mark Francis. Though his heart bore the weight of these losses, he continued to lead his family with quiet strength and endless love. He is survived by his devoted children; Garry Francis and his wife Marie, Joan Hornberger, Kathleen Saez, and Tricia Micharski and her husband Kevin, along with his adoring grandchildren; Tammy, Britney, and Emily Francis, Nicole and Ryan Hornberger, Nicholas and Mark Saez, and Morgan Micharski and great-grandchildren; Kayleanna and Elizabeth Murray. Harry had a soft spot for animals and enjoyed heaping lots of love on the many dogs he had throughout his life. He found joy in the simple pleasures in life- watching tennis, and golf, sharing laughs over a hand of blackjack at the casino, and spending time with his family. Harry was a gentle soul with a heart of gold. His sense of humor, thoughtful wisdom, and selfless nature touched all who knew him. He lived a life of quiet greatness and he will be missed dearly.
Funeral services will be held 11:00am Tuesday April 22, 2025 at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home, 2946 South Broad St. Hamilton.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday 9:00am until services at the funeral home.
Entombment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery Veterans Mausoleum.
