Obituary Hearl Wingo was born on September 14th, 1931 to the late Beatrice (Booker) and John A. Wingo. He grew up in Amelia County, VA. After leaving school, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal with 1 Bronze Service Star, the United Nations Service Medal, the Combat Infantry Badge, and the National Defense Service Medal. He was a retiree from the United States Postal Service after 23 years. His wife Eleanor L. Wingo preceded him in death. Memories of Hearl are cherished by: his step-mother Deloris A, Wingo, 6 daughters: Anna (Frank), Isabelle (Gilbert), Cynthia, Gladys, Dawn, Sheila (James) and 1 son Kenneth; 3 Sisters: Renea (Bryant), Teresa (Frank), Beverly (Michael); 2 brothers: Marvin (Jeanette), and Maurice (Sheronda). Hearl has 27 grandchildren which includes his grandson Michael (Jazmen) who was raised by him. He also has a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
